Growing up, I was deeply rooted in my community, where strong family ties and neighborly bonds were the norms. After high school, I embarked on a new adventure by joining the Navy, where I learned invaluable lessons in adaptability and empathy while serving alongside people from diverse backgrounds.
Now as a Navy veteran turned real estate professional, I bring a personalized approach shaped by my military background and close-knit community upbringing. I’ve always been fascinated by the journey we all take through life. A passion is seeing people reach their fullest potential, and to that I bring a wealth of experience and education to share. To me, finding the right home is a key part of becoming our best selves. Helping that happen brings a wonderful reward I enjoy.
My own journey has taken me through a wide variety of settings, from big cities to small towns, from working with youth to real estate title services to small group travel to management. Each one shaping my perspective. The greatest pride in my life comes from raising two wonderful daughters. While our family wasn’t always picture-perfect, I was intentional about choosing homes—whether rural or suburban—that would help us find harmony even through life’s challenges. Now, I’m fortunate to live in a home that lets me explore my passions, like gardening, woodworking, and connecting with local friends and artists.

About Julissa
Hi I’m Julissa!
... and I believe that homeownership is the best path to generational wealth.
I got into real estate first as a buyer/investor. In 2015, I had just returned to Minnesota after spending about a year and a half in Peru wrapping up my degree in International Business. I was starting a new corporate position and planned to get an apartment with my sister. That was when my mom presented me with an alternative: move home, live rent-free, and save to purchase a duplex. Nine months later, in 2016, I closed on my first investment property! Shortly after, in 2017, I got my real estate license and by early 2018, I became a full-time REALTOR.
What I love most about my job is the people I meet and work with; I truly have the best clients and partners. Design, marketing, and touring beautiful homes is just a bonus.
Outside of work, I like to spend time outdoors with my husband Caleb, and our two dogs, Olive and Luna. They have special “gotcha” stories”—just ask!

My journey began on the West Side, deeply rooted in family, culture, and history. In high school, I was on track for a conventional life—college, career, and family—but felt a pull to do more. This led me to the Navy, where I spent six transformative years. A key moment came when Chief Reagan challenged me with the motto, “never let them outwork you,” a drive that still fuels me today.
After the Navy, I became a supervisor at a manufacturing company, but the long hours and limited family time pushed me to seek a change. I discovered a passion for sales, which eventually led me to real estate. I started as a loan originator and grew into my current role as a Realtor®, where I find fulfillment in helping clients achieve their dreams. There’s nothing like witnessing that moment when everything clicks for them.
Guided by dedication to family, faith, and the lessons I’ve learned, I focus on serving the veteran and Latino community and understanding their unique needs. Hi I’m Ivan!
I got into real estate through a job fair — but what truly convinced me to pursue this path was the opportunity to help my community build wealth and inspire others to aim for something greater. Real estate became more than a career choice; it became a mission.
Before earning my real estate license, I worked as a busser and food runner at a restaurant. Prior to that, I was an intern at Medtronic, a cashier at Home Depot, and my very first job was on an assembly line. Each role shaped the way I manage my time, stay disciplined, and prioritize what truly matters.
I love educating my clients. There's nothing more rewarding than seeing their faces light up when I explain something strategic or offer a creative solution that brings clarity or excitement.
